Enter Health Information Technology. The various spheres of modern life in which technology has its footprints have all improved or excelled – medical industry included. In the late 1960s, there appeared a revolutionary concept of health evaluation through logical programming computer software, initiated by a hospital in Utah, USA. After a hiatus, during the late 1980s, the U.S. Government started investing huge amount on developing a composite health care system for its medical centers. This laid the foundation for the development of the Electronic Health Records Software System that won world wide recognition and implementation in the later years.

From the year 2001 till 2011, Electronic Health Records Software adoption witnessed a substantial growth, namely, from 18% to a hefty 57%. Later, by the year 2013, the number of clinicians using this health care software crossed 72% and is still found to be growing exponentially.
