All-New Simplified Medication Workflow
Are you always looking for the perfect person to handle a specific task?
Do you prefer to assign responsibilities to the most reliable individuals? It’s a common expectation, and we understand the importance of matching the right person with the right task.
That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce a new user role and interface designed specifically for pharmacy-related tasks within 75Health!
Previously, e-prescriptions were supported exclusively for the US region through our external partner, Optum. Now, we’re thrilled to introduce our new Medication Module, offering full internal support for pharmacy Rx prescriptions across other regions.
In today’s blog, we’ll dive into how to assign the pharmacy user role, explore their privileges, and guide you on how to make the most of this powerful new feature. Let’s get started!
Steps to Create a Pharmacy User
- Log In as an Organization User
Use your registered credentials to log in to the EHR system. Once logged in, navigate to the Settings option in the left-hand menu.
- Access User Management
Under the User Management section, click on the Users tab.
- Add a New User
Inside the Users section, click the Create New User button. Fill in the user’s first and last name, provide their email address, select Pharmacist as the role, and click Create to proceed.
Activating a Pharmacy User Account
Once the Pharmacy User role has been created, the individual will receive an email invitation to activate their account.
- The Pharmacy User needs to accept the invitation and follow the provided link.
- They can then set a password to complete the activation process.
Privileges of a Pharmacy User
Pharmacy Users are equipped to manage all medication-related activities seamlessly:
- View Prescriptions: Access detailed medication prescriptions.
- Dispense Medications: Fulfill prescriptions and provide medications as required.
Now that we’ve covered assigning roles and privileges to a pharmacy user, let’s explore how to send a prescription through the Medication Module!
Sending Prescriptions via the Medication Module
- Access the Medication Module
Locate the Medication module in the right-hand corner of your EHR dashboard.
- Create a Pharmacy Order
- Click the Plus icon within the Medication module.
- Choose medications using the standard code or add a custom medication for unique cases.
- Click Save to finalize the order.
- Send the Medication Order
- Click the three-dot icon within the Medication module.
- Select Send Pharmacy Order from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the desired pharmacy from the list.
- Confirm by clicking the tick mark to send the order.
Pharmacy User Dashboard
To view Rx prescriptions, a Pharmacy User must log in to their dashboard using their credentials. Once a medication order is sent, it will automatically appear on the Pharmacy User’s dashboard. From there, they can review prescription details and dispense medications promptly to patients.
After the medicines are dispensed, the Pharmacy User’s dashboard status will update to “Completed.”
Simultaneously, the patient’s EHR Medication Module will reflect the status as “Received,” enabling the provider to confirm and acknowledge that the medication has been delivered to the patient.
This seamless process makes managing pharmacy-related tasks more efficient than ever!
